West African Carl Davies recently left the cosy world of journalism, where every opinion matters immensely, for the corporate world, where every strategic opinion matters entirely. Adaptable as an amped-up chameleon rocketing across a Jackson Pollock, Carl keeps a resolute grip on the illusions of youth, and still manages to see the joke. He looks forward to the day when he can sit back in a rocking chair on the front porch, gently chuckling at the memory of how he managed to get away with it all.

Last year Rowan Hunter delighted Taipei audiences with his transvestite interpretation of Fabian (12th Night) -- for no good reason except that he 'likes dressing up' -- and recently, in a TADS production of Orton's 'Entertaining Mr Sloane', he played the shady, heartless, ambivalent Ed, a part he took to with great relish. Rowan bitches about everything, as many Scots do. When he's not performing, he enjoys being pistol whipped.

Cake anyone?

Computer wiz, ace musician, loving husband and father, and all-around good guy, Paul 'Alf' Routledge is nothing like the rustics and ruffians he portrays in the film -- even if he does come from Manchester.

Writer/director Norman Szabo especially admires but does not necessarily seek to emulate: Alex Cox, John Boorman, Martin Scorsese, David O. Russell, Lars von Trier, Kenneth Branagh, Robert Altman, Mike Leigh, Mike Figgis, Joel and Ethan Coen, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Quentin Tarantino, Paul Verhoeven, Jim Jarmusch, David Lynch, David Lean, Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, Paul Schrader, Lindsay Anderson and P.T. Anderson. Mr. Szabo lives with his long-suffering wife, two cats and a dog in a former radio transmission building. He is always happy to meet talent, crew or anyone with a lot of money.
