The Star -- Dolly Deng aka Lady X
|
It was really a pretty nice day for October. Which was just as well,
as Dolly had to wade where no man had waded before, at least, probably
not since summer. So while a local man tied himself to a rock to go
fishing (did he know something we didn't?) and a construction crew
built something that might have been a new freeway on the beach, we
broke out the cameras and bikinis, dodged around the playful blobs
of Brent Crude -- Heck, at 55 bucks a barrel, we should have brought
some home! Although come to think of it, I guess we did: those Nikes
will never be the same again -- dragged a huge log around to 'dress
the set'... and the shoot was on!

Getting down to business
TC sets up the glidecam; All eyes on the sarong; Dolly discusses her
'motivation'.
Are we having fun yet?
Creative input from the producer; 'Seawater's good for cameras, right?'
'Well hit, sir!'
And what this whole shoot was all about -- lots of great shots of Dolly!
